Oregon Department of Aviation Gives Update on Aurora Airport Master Planning Process

The Oregon Department of Aviation has given an update on the Aurora Airport Master Planning process. The Department reports that the technical team has been working hard to make changes to Working Paper #1 based on FAA’s comments (see the documents linked under “FAA Review” on the project website). This means that the committee meetings are ready to restart in the next few months. A 30-day public notice will be provided.

Updated documents on the website are:

  • Updated Working Paper #1 with the combined edits from the prior FAA reviews.
  • A summary of the latest FAA comments and Century West responses to each comment.
  • Appendix 8 – Discarded Forecast Models, which includes the prior methodologies that were extracted from the earlier versions of Working Paper #1 for historical information.
