CANCER PATIENTS TO BENEFIT FROM UNIQUE DONATIONS AT NBAA2012

Donated items for the NBAA/CAN Soiree-An Evening With Angels are more exciting than ever this year!  The auction held to benefit Corporate Angel Network (CAN):  www.corpangelnetwork.org  during the National Business Aviation Association’s Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2012), takes place on Wednesday, October 31st at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, FL, and features many highly prized items and unique bidding opportunities.

One of the most sought-after items in aviation today, the ATG 5000, is being donated to the auction by Aircell. The ATG 5000 equipment package provides high speed Internet access via the Gogo BizTM service.  Gogo Biz is for business aviators who want the flexibility and convenience of a full Internet experience while flying over the contiguous United States and portions of Alaska. Once installed, the service supports all Wi-Fi-enabled laptops, notebooks and smart phones. The Aircell ATG 5000 equipment package has a retail value of $91,500. “Aircell is excited and honored to support Corporate Angel Network and the patients it helps by donating a complete equipment package for Gogo Biz high-speed Internet.  We can think of no better way to support CAN’s mission of flying cancer patients, than enabling aircraft passengers to stay in direct touch with all that is important on the ground, including family, co-workers, and customers,” said John Wade, Aircell’s Executive Vice President and General Manager.

“This is a remarkably generous donation to the Soiree by Aircell,” said Corporate Angel Network Executive Director Peter Fleiss. “It will certainly result in helping more cancer patients receive the best possible treatment for their specific type of cancer, no matter where in the country that may be. These patients have a decidedly better prognosis as a result of our corporate flights.”

Another sure-to-be-popular auction item, donated by Allianz, is an exclusive VIP behind-the-scenes Weekend Experience for 2 at the inaugural United States Formula 1 Grand Prix Race in Austin, TX, in November. This one-of-a-kind package includes VIP tickets to the race, preferential parking, VIP admission to the Paddock Club, personally guided tours of the pit and and paddock areas, access to the Mercedes Formula 1 team garage and four-night accommodations. The value of this experience is $10,000.

For those who like to travel, the auction will feature a New York City dream trip that includes a behind-the-scenes look at CNBC with CNBC’s “Street Signs” co-anchor, Brian Sullivan. Included is a personalized tour of how the network operates, an opportunity to see how shows are produced and of course, introductions to on-air personalities. The perfect end to the day is a dinner with Brian Sullivan in New York City. Also included is a Broadway Package that includes two house seats to see the exciting winner of five 2012 Tony Awards, “Peter and The Starcatcher”, followed by an insider’s private  backstage tour, two-night accommodations in the city that never sleeps, and round-trip airline tickets on Jet Blue. The package value…priceless.

These are just a few of the numerous, fantastic items attendees of the NBAA/CAN Soiree, “An Evening With Angels”, will have an opportunity to bid on.

“We couldn’t be happier,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen “The generosity of our NBAA Members is greater than ever this year for this most worthy cause. Our thanks go out to all donors involved, including Jetex, which is generously sponsoring the Soiree knowing how important the fund-raising efforts for CAN at the NBAA Convention are.”
