RTCA, Inc. Announces New Advisory Board Members

At its annual meeting of its members on June 27, 2019, seven new members were elected to RTCA’s Advisory Board. Joining the Advisory Board for the first time are Randy Kanegy (Air Line Pilots Association, International), Sean Cassidy (Amazon Prime), Richard Stansbury (Embry Riddle University),Jens Hennig (General Aviation Manufacturers Association), Stacy Cordell (University of Kansas), Tom Ferrell (Joby Aviation) and Eric Allison (Uber Elevate).

 “This is an exciting time in RTCA’s long history as we continue to shape our future in an ever-changing aviation landscape,” said Terry McVenes, President and CEO of RTCA. “These new members will bring additional insights and perspectives that will further align with the needs of our stakeholders and the overall aviation industry”.

 The addition of these new members expands the RTCA Advisory Board to 24 members representing industry, government, associations, and academia, including new and emerging entrants and technology involved in aviation.

Kim Stevens

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
