Jviation, Inc., an aviation-focused planning, engineering and construction management firm, announced the appointment of Travis Vallin as Principal. Vallin will be joining the three founding Principals of Jviation, Jim Trott, J.D. Ingram, and Jim Fluhr, as principal and part owner to further develop Jviation’s aviation practice throughout the United States.
Vallin joined Jviation in 2010 as a vice president and senior program manager. In the last two years he has been instrumental in expanding the firm’s services in the Rocky Mountain Region. Previously the director of the Colorado Department of Transportation Aeronautics Division, he provides an in-depth knowledge on the aviation issues impacting the aviation community. Vallin has over 19 years of experience managing and supporting complex aviation programs.
Vallin is currently involved with the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation (MDEDC) working to pass legislation to expand the airport development zone and provide tax-breaks for businesses that bring aviation careers beyond manufacturing into Colorado. He also is chair of the Metro Denver Aviation Coalition (MDAC) which is committee of MDEDC and is dedicated to the continued growth and development of Denver’s aviation industry.
