The Commercial Drone Alliance (CDA) has announced the appointment of Jon Damush, uAvionix CEO, to its Board of Directors. The CDA is governed by a Board of Directors who act on behalf of the entire membership, helping to shape the organization’s strategic direction.

Damush brings decades of experience in aviation technology, autonomy, and regulatory strategy to the CDA. His appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the industry, with growing federal support and policy momentum focused on unlocking the full potential of commercial drones in the United States.
“The CDA is the leading advocacy organization for the commercial drone industry,” said Jon Damush, CEO of uAvionix. “I’m honored to take on a greater role and work alongside the CDA and the full Board of Directors as we continue to advocate for the safe integration of drones into the National Airspace System. Advanced drone technology – and the tools needed to support safe, compliant, and efficient operations – are already here and also benefit the broader aviation community.”
“uAvionix has been a committed CDA member since the early days of our organization, and we’re excited to deepen that partnership,” said Lisa Ellman, CEO of the Commercial Drone Alliance. “The commercial drone industry is at a crossroads, and with industry leaders like Jon on our team, we’re better positioned than ever to advocate for the regulatory certainty needed to strengthen America’s security and aviation leadership.”
