Civil Air Patrol cadets from three Vermont squadrons visited the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, Conn.  Cadets and senior members from Bennington Composite Squadron, Capitol Composite Squadron, and Rutland Composite Squadron of the Vermont Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, toured the facility.  The Museum houses over 100 aircraft and exhibits.  Cadets were able to explore the cockpits of several planes including getting to look inside the B-29 ‘Superfortress.’ They were able to explore exhibits on Igor Sikorsky and learning about pioneering New England women in aviation.  The display about Civil Air Patrol, including the Sikorsky S-39B ‘Jungle Gym,’ was also of great interest.
