Mente Group, a leading global business aircraft brokerage and consulting company, has promoted 23-year business aviation executive Dan Dunn to Executive Vice President, Transactions. He was previously Vice President, Transactions.
Specializing in aircraft transactions including sales, acquisitions and leasing, Dunn also has a strong discipline in transaction structure, finance, leasing and management. He leads the Mente Transactions Group and is based in the Greater New York Metro Area. Dunn is a member of the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA) and contributes to aircraft and avionics manufacturing panels and evaluation boards.
“Dan Dunn has been responsible for over $2 billion in aircraft sales, acquisitions, and leases during his career and we have grown to rely on his expertise and judgement along with his focus on the needs of our clients,” said Mente Group President and CEO Brian Proctor. “This promotion is well deserved.”
Before joining Mente Group in 2016, Dunn served in a number of industry roles, including as a vice president of another large international corporate aviation brokerage. Prior to that, he served as the vice president of a Part 135 charter and management company, having previously managed the company’s fleet of Bombardier aircraft.
Dunn has held various maintenance management positions and has been a flight engineer and a training manager in a Fortune 100 flight department. He is a United States Air Force combat veteran, focusing on technical course work and theories, with certificates in aviation safety and maintenance. Dunn holds an FAA A&P and pilot’s license and is factory trained on a number of corporate aircraft including Bombardier, Boeing, and Gulfstream types with extensive avionics, engine, and training experience.
