Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) has announced the promotions of David Ritter as Director of Information Technology and Zach Shaw as Director of Maintenance.
Ritter has been employed by MSCAA since 2013 and has served as Manager of IT since 2014. He has over 40 years of experience in IT, including network engineering and consulting. In his new role, he will oversee MSCAA’s IT department, identify technology needs, make recommendations, evaluate and ensure cybersecurity and update and maintain the company’s computing and communications software and hardware infrastructure. Ritter is certified by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) as an Airport Certified Employee (ACE) and as a Certified Member (C.M.). An active leader in the IT industry, Ritter currently serves on the board of directors for the Memphis Chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM). He will report to Vice President of Finance, Forrest Artz.
Shaw joined MSCAA in 2014 and served as the Manager of Planning since May 2019. He has more than 11 years of engineering experience and most recently led MSCAA’s efforts in updating its Master Plan. Shaw is a graduate of University of Memphis, Herff College of Engineering with a BS in Civil Engineering. He is also a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Shaw is also certified by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) as an Airport Certified Employee (ACE) and a Certified Member (C.M.). As Director of Maintenance, Shaw is responsible for directing and overseeing the maintenance function for Memphis International Airport, including the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of structures and infrastructure of airport-owned properties, landside, airside, and terminals as well as utilities, pavement, roadways, and grounds. He will report to Vice President of Operations Terry Blue.
