The City of Minot has selected Airport Services Coordinator Maria Romanick to serve as interim director of the Minot International Airport when Airport Director Rick Feltner retires June 3.
Romanick began her career at Minot in 2013 as an intern after graduating from the University of North Dakota with a degree in airport management. She became an administrative assistant in 2014 and has been airport services coordinator since 2016.
In her current position, she has experience in overseeing all business associated with the airport, including working with airlines, car rentals, parking, terminal leasing, general aviation leasing and the Transportation Security Administration. She has also been responsible for revenue generation through advertising and leased space arrangements.
“I have full confidence in Maria’s training and experience to serve in this capacity,” City Manager Harold Stewart said. “She will be a great interim director as we work through the process of finding a permanent director.”
Feltner said previously that he will move to the family farm in Indiana. The director position has officially been posted on the ADK Consulting website as a national search begins for Feltner’s permanent replacement.
