Battle Creek Executive Airport at Kellogg Field Announces New Website

As the City of Battle Creek, Michigan’s airport, Battle Creek Executive Airport at Kellogg Field, continues to celebrate 95 years of operation it’s launching a new website – www.flybtl.com

As part of a recommendation in the airport’s 2017 strategic business plan to develop a new brand the City worked with R.A. Weidemann &Associates Inc., an aviation consultant, to develop a new and improved airport brand.  That work included the new name as well as new logos, a comprehensive marketing plan and a new website.

United States airports, as well as airports around the world use a universal unique three-letter airport code, or Location Identifier defined by the International Air Transport Association. It’s easier to say, and write BTL than Battle Creek Executive Airport at Kellogg Field for the pilots, controllers, corporate dispatchers, weekend flyers, computers etc. So that’s why the new website is names flybtl.com

“The new website represents another step forward in the City’s efforts to provide a compelling interactive experience featuring a new streaming video and other enhancements.  The site will remain easy to navigate, with information for everyone from aviation novices to recreational general aviation pilots to high end corporation jet pilots and crew members.” said Aviation Director Larry Bowron. “The new site will also reinforce the important role the Battle Creek Executive Airport plays in the national general aviation sector as the City continues to develop the airport and create opportunities for new aviation/aerospace companies to locate in our city.”
