For the fourth year in a row, the Boca Raton Airport Authority, and Airport tenants, including Atlantic Aviation, Boca Aircraft Maintenance, Boomers, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, Privaira, Reliable Jet Maintenance, and Signature Flight Support collected school supplies for the Spirit of Giving Network’s Back to School Bash.
“It is such a great feeling to work with our Airport Tenants and the local community to provide needed supplies for area students and help ensure they have the tools to succeed in the upcoming school year” said Boca Raton Airport Authority Executive Director Clara Bennett. “The Airport Authority and our airport businesses are proud to support Spirit of Giving and to be part of another successful Back to School effort.”
School supplies collected included backpacks, personal hygiene products, socks, notebooks, paper, pencils, pens, glue sticks, and crayons. Volunteers were able to fill six boxes of supplies. Reliable Jet Maintenance alone provided 75 backpacks, 400 tissues packs, 100 hand sanitizers, 100 packs of sanitizing wipes, 100 pairs of socks, and pencils and crayons. These items were used to prepare backpacks during the volunteer event. Spirit of Giving hosted the Back-to-School Bash, a drive-through distribution event for families on Saturday, July 24 providing supplies to over 10,000 students in Palm Beach County.
