Sennheiser Helps Kick off SUN ‘n FUN 2011 Fly-In and Expo by Co-Sponsoring Free Concert on March 27th

Aviation headset manufacturer Sennheiser will be on hand once again to help kick off the 37th annual Sun ‘n Fun® International Fly-In & Expo, co-hosting a free concert by Rodeo Drive on Sunday, March 27th. For the past seven years, Sennheiser has participated as a corporate sponsor of SUN ‘n FUN — one of the largest aviation tradeshows in the world featuring more than 500 commercial exhibitors. Each year, the show features the latest in aviation products throughout its campus of five indoor buildings and outdoor exhibit spaces.

Since 1982 when Lufthansa asked Sennheiser to develop the first audio headset for cockpit communications, the company has been a world leader in the active noise reduction headset market. The company has introduced many innovations since then, including its patented NoiseGard™ active noise compensation system.

Sennheiser also continues to support the broader aviation industry on numerous fronts, including through sponsorships with The Flying Musicians Association and Able Flight — a not-for-profit that provides flight scholarships to disabled individuals. Sennheiser continues to be active in aviation-oriented educational activities as well, and has recently conducted seminars such as “Rejuvenating Aviation from the Ground Up."

“Once again, we look forward to being an integral part of SUN ‘n FUN as both a sponsor and an exhibitor," commented Dave Dunlap, director, Sennheiser Aviation. "Sennheiser is very passionate about music and aviation, and each year our sponsorship activities give us a chance to interact with both new and existing customers. This is a fantastic way to start SUN ‘n FUN and we hope folks take the opportunity to come over and listen to some great music!"

Rodeo Drive, which performs regularly at Disney World’s Pleasure Island, has shared major concert and festival stages with country music acts including Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, Tammy Wynette, The Oak Ridge Boys and many others. The event takes place at the Corn Roast Stage and will feature fresh corn on the cob.
