Piper, Bimini Bay Resort Target Breast Cancer

Piper Aircraft Inc. and Bimini Bay Resort & Marina are sponsoring a chance drawing for private air travel and a weekend stay (2 nights, 3 Days) for two at the luxury Caribbean hotel to benefit the fight against breast cancer.

The promotion is in support of October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the exclusive beneficiary is the American Cancer Society program entitled Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, presented by Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, Fla.

Piper President and CEO Simon Caldecott said everyone knows that American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks help fight breast cancer. "We’ve just taken it a step further and are sponsoring a flight for some lucky recipients so they can take a walk on the beach in the Bahamas and help fight breast cancer at the same time."

As part of the promotion, Piper is designing and specially decorating a Seneca V aircraft with the familiar pink breast cancer awareness ribbons. Piper will exhibit the distinctive aircraft on the company headquarters display pad alongside Aviation Boulevard at Vero Beach Municipal Airport.

About Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
Every Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is a powerful and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about steps to reduce the risk of breast cancer, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them. Each step taken is personal, and together the public and the American Cancer Society turn the walk into a victory lap.
