The Boca Raton Airport Authority (BRAA) announced the grand opening of its new Observation Area, a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance the airport experience for aviation enthusiasts and the general public. The ceremony took place on Tuesday, January 28th at the Boca Raton Airport.
The observation area is a visionary project that seamlessly integrates with the existing airport infrastructure. The project was designed and constructed with the help of Hauber Design Associates, LLC and Recreational Design & Construction, Inc. This circular structure offers an unparalleled viewing experience of aircraft operations at Boca Raton Airport.
Key features of the new Observation Area include:
- A circular design that provides a 360-degree, unobstructed viewing experience
- Weather-resistant, shaded covering
- Accessible ramps, ensuring inclusivity for all visitors
- Comfortable seating, lighting, and amenities for visitors
- Educational signage to inform guests about their observations
- Live air traffic control tower radio feed for an immersive experience
Clara Bennett, Executive Director of the Boca Raton Airport Authority, expressed her enthusiasm for the project, saying, “We are thrilled to introduce this innovative Observation Area to our community. The Observation Area will be open to the public for free, daily from sunrise to sunset. The BRAA invites residents and visitors alike to experience this unique addition to Boca Raton Airport.
