Dibble Engineering (Dibble) welcomes Rick Zabel, PE and Clint Sciacca, PE to its Denver office and the Airport Development practice. Their addition to the Airport Development practice bolsters its already robust and comprehensive airport engineering, planning, and construction management services, particularly in its expanding Colorado operations. Zabel and Sciacca bring with them expertise in large commercial service airports and understand the needs of their dynamic operations.
Zabel joins Dibble as a Principal Engineer and will provide additional leadership, experience and capacity in developing our Denver Airport Development Team, with a specific focus on Regional and Large Hub Airports. He is a civil engineering and multi-discipline professional with 34 years of experience managing and supporting a wide range of projects with an emphasis on aviation, transportation, and facilities engineering and construction projects. Most recently, he served as senior project manager in the owner’s representative capacity at Denver International Airport (DEN) for Taxiway DS East Expansion, airfield pavement evaluations, drainage improvements for RW 17L-35R, Pond 001 DIW expansion, among others. Zabel has successfully completed a variety of aviation projects with Colorado Springs Airport, Pueblo Memorial Airport, Peterson AFB, BLM Seat Base Air Tanker Pad at Burns Municipal Airport, and the City and County of Denver’s Stapleton Redevelopment. Zabel is a North Dakota State University graduate with a BS in Civil Engineering and a registered Professional Civil Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional.
Sciacca will serve as Project Engineer with the Airport Development’s Denver team. For the last four years, he was a Staff Engineer and managed multiple projects at the Denver International Airport including FAA Airport Improvement Program (AIP)-funded airside improvements as well as some roadway projects. Sciacca’s recent experience includes the following design and construction projects at DEN: Annual Airfield Pavement Rehabilitation, Vehicle Service Road, Snow Melter Parking Pad for the Concourse A West Expansion, and drainage improvements for RW 17L-35R. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. Sciacca is a registered P.E. in the state of Colorado and is an Envision Sustainability Professional.
