Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has announced the appointment of Stephen Ducoff of Colorado Springs to serve as an eastern slope government representative on the Colorado Aeronautical Board (CAB). Mr. Ducoff replaces William “T” Thompson who resigned from the CAB earlier in June.
Ducoff has played an active role at the Colorado Springs Municipal Airport (COS), serving on the Colorado Springs Airport Advisory Commission from 2001 to 2007 and was recently selected by the Colorado Springs City Council to serve an additional term on the Commission.
Ducoff is passionate about aviation and a strong advocate for Colorado economic development and has been an active member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) for nearly 40 years and is the Colorado Springs AOPA Airport Support Network Volunteer. He is a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), the Colorado Pilots Association, and has been an active pilot since 1967. Ducoff became a pilot nearly 50 years ago has earned his commercial, instrument and instrument instructor ratings.
He has owned several aircraft including a Beechcraft Bonanza which he has flown from the Colorado Springs Airport for nearly 20 years.
The Division of Aeronautics and the rest of the CAB look forward to working with Mr. Ducoff in his new role as a member of the Colorado Aeronautical Board.
