Joey Colleran has been selected by Boeing Global Services as an Industry Relations Manager, replacing Rhonda Larance whom retired this past July.
“Ms. Colleran brings an impressive and diverse collection of experience to this important industry leadership position,” noted David McGowan, Flight Operations and Passenger Market Director for Boeing. For the past 5-years Colleran has served as the Director of Business Development at Redbird Flight Simulations. Prior to Redbird, Colleran served for almost 9-years at the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) as the Director of Government Affairs. Her professional career began as a Legislative Assistant for the Texas House of Representatives where she was later appointed Chief of Staff for the Texas Speaker of the House, James E. “Pete” Laney.
“I’m beyond happy and humbled to join this team and follow in Rhonda’s footsteps,” said Colleran. “In my new role I will be managing current partnerships/sponsorships and looking to grow our industry presence.”
A certified private pilot (land and sea), Colleran holds a degree in Public Relations from Texas Tech University and an Airport Certification (CM) from the American Association of Airport Executives. In 2021 she was appointed by the Secretary of Transportation to the USDOT FAA Access to American Jobs in Aviation Task Force. Colleran is the Industry Relations Chair of the University Aviation Association (UAA) National Board, as well as the Mentoring Committee Chair for the International Aviation Women’s Association (IAWA).
