Vermont Aeronautics Seeks Aviation Education and Safety Coordinator

The State of Vermont Aeronautics, acting through the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans), is requesting qualifications from individuals to perform the duties of Statewide Aviation Education and Safety Coordinator.

All work performed by the selected consultant will be accomplished in accordance with the Scope of Work, (SOW); Attachment A, dated August 15, 2014, the Procedures for Selecting Contractors and for Specifications for Contractor Services, Including Customary Contract Provisions August 2008, revised 12/29/08, which can be referenced at the link below:

All questions related to this RFQ shall be forwarded to Guy Rouelle, State Aeronautics Administrator via e-mail Guy.Rouelle@state.vt.us. Questions must be received no later than September 22, 2014. Questions and answers will be provided to all proposal holders.

Communication with other VTrans personnel in regards to this RFQ is prohibited. VTrans intends to select one (l) Consultant to perform these services and will enter into Hourly-Type contract to include travel expenses, lodging, phone, insurance. for the Aviation Education and Safety Coordinator. The term of this contract will be until June 30, 2016.

Aviation education is a strong part of the mission for VTrans, as is playing a supportive role to all airports and aviation statewide. Vermont Aeronautics mission is to support, maintain and enhance the 10 State-owned airports. As the owner/operator of 10 State-owned airports, Aeronautics promotes efficient and effective operation of its airports to assure safe, secure, and reliable air transportation of goods and people, while supporting Vermont’s economy and recreational activities.
