North Dakota Passenger Numbers Continue to Rise

North Dakota continues to see a growth in airport passengers state-wide as the total number has increased by 8% for the month of March compared to the previous year. Two western North Dakota airports, Dickinson and Williston, have seen a 163% and 26% increase in passenger numbers. Fargo has also posted a 10% increase (4,000 more passengers) compared to March of last year.

This increase has led to five commercial service airports achieving its best passenger numbers on record for the month. Kyle Wanner, Acting Director for the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission, shared the news that the additional flight and destination opportunities that are now available throughout the state of North Dakota is great news for both the business and leisurely traveler. “As passenger numbers continue to grow at an astounding rate, we hope that additional flight and destination opportunities continue to become available throughout the state,” said Wanner.
