North Carolina Division of Aviation to Sponsor Free Pilot Safety Seminars

The North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Division of Aviation is sponsoring a series of free pilot safety seminars across the state on May 12, 14-16th.

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Air Safety Institute will present the two-hour safety seminars at four locations across the state. Each presentation is titled, “Wanted Alive” and discusses trends in general aviation aircraft accidents. The seminar will explore the effect of new technology in the cockpit, as well as discussions on avoiding accidents in smaller planes.

Division of Aviation Director Richard Walls said programs like this create a positive safety culture among North Carolina general aviation pilots. “These seminars are important to improve the level of service aviation provides to anyone who flies in North Carolina.”
