The NextGen Institute held their Annual Public Meeting Friday in the Atrium of the U.S. Department of Transportation in Washington D.C. NextGen – Successes and Challenges: Building a Path to the Future was the title of the three-hour forum that featured the likes of John Porcari, Deputy Secretary of Transportation, U.S.DOT and Michael Huerta, FAA Administrator.
Other keynote speakers included Congressman Rick Larsen, Ranking Member of the House Aviation Subcommittee (D-Wash.), Alaska Lt. Governor Mead Treadwell, Marion Blakey, former FAA Administrator and current President and CEO for the Aerospace Industries Association and Pete Bunce, President of GAMA. There was a special gathering prior to the event that also included House Aviation Subcommittee Chairman Frank LoBiondo (R-New Jersey).
