The four students selected by Daher Aircraft and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) for their annual joint international internship program are present at last week’s EAA AirVenture gathering in Oshkosh, Wisconsin – supporting the Daher team during the world’s largest air show event and benefitting from an exceptional first-hand experience with the aviation industry.
Organized by Daher and GAMA to identify and encourage promising industry leaders of the future, the internship program is in its second year, and marks the first time it involves two students from North America and another two from France.
Spending the summer at Daher Aircraft’s headquarters and TBM production site in Tarbes, France were: Maria van Scherrenburg from Canada, a junior at Ottawa University, who worked on TBM maintenance optimization; and Billy “Trey” Shurley from Cabot, Arkansas, a computer science student with a specialization in cybersecurity, who collaborated with the TBM Care support team.
Deployed to Daher Aircraft’s Sandpoint, Idaho industrial facility, where Kodiak aircraft are produced, were: Lou Gasparini, a Master’s student in International Management at the Toulouse School of Management, who was assigned to the sourcing department; and Clémence Gouel, a student from the Toulouse Business School who worked with the Kodiak Marketing & Sales Administration.
The dates and application details for next year’s international internship will be announced on the Daher and GAMA websites:
