AUVSI Responds to China’s Sanctions on U.S. Drone Companies

The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) has issued a statement in response to the People’s Republic of China’s decision to add 11 U.S. drone manufacturers to its “Unreliable Entity List” and impose export controls on 16 more companies, several of which are AUVSI members.

These actions, alongside China’s recent ban on rare earth mineral exports, present serious threats to global supply chain stability and the development of secure, U.S.-made drone technologies.

“The PRC’s targeting of leading U.S. drone and autonomous technology firms… is just the latest example of why the United States must prioritize its supply chain security and resiliency,” said AUVSI President & CEO Michael Robbins. “This moment demands more than concern—it requires coordinated action.”
