Don Abbott, Founder and President of the American Air Camper Association (AACA) will present the association’s first Award of Excellence to Experimental Aircraft Association (and WAI Corporate Member) President Tom Poberezny at the upcoming Air Venture 2010. The award is presented in recognition of the organizations long-standing efforts to encourage family togetherness through aviation. Abbott commented, “There was simply no other choice for our first award of excellence. The Poberezny family’s devotion to sport aviation, education for young people and their love for America reflects their true character. When it comes to a family together, they are truly a model for all to follow.”
The AACA is a new association dedicated to pilots and families with a passion for camping under the wing of an airplane.
