It’s a special year for ALSIM at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019 as the simulator manufacturer celebrates its 25th Anniversary. Founded in France in 1994, ALSIM now has over 400 devices and 300 clients located in over 50 countries.
ALSIM continues to invest heavily in the United States. Announced at AirVenture 2018, the company is proud to report that local North American assembly and support will begin in September 2019 out of their new facility in the Orlando, Florida area (Lake Wales). They are currently hiring multiple staff for this new location that will house technicians and items like spare parts.
In order to keep up with demand, launch new products, continue their software developments, and ensure continued high-level quality and service, ALSIM has hired more than 20 staff globally over the past two years and continues to keep an eye out for qualified talent.
Since EAA AirVenture last year, ALSIM has added dozens of new, high-profile clients including Airbus, CAFUC, KLM, Paragon Flight Training, University of Dubuque, and others around the world. Their type specific Cessna 172 simulator was certified as an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) by the FAA, and their DA42 device was recently certified as an FTD Level 5 by Transport Canada. ALSIM is also finalizing their new Airliner sim, close to a Boeing 737/Airbus 320 hybrid, with orders already obtained from flight schools in Europe and elsewhere.
