The skies over Kitsap County will come alive once again as the Bremerton Air Show takes flight for its fourth consecutive year at the Bremerton National Airport July 11th & 12th. This show promises a thrilling weekend of high-flying excitement, historic aircraft, and family-friendly entertainment.
More than just an air show, this event is a celebration of aviation history. The Bremerton Air Show is funded by the Collins Historical Aircraft Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving historic aircraft and supporting the veterans who flew and maintained them. Through immersive experiences and educational opportunities, the show aims to inspire future generations and connect attendees with the rich history of aviation.

Attendees can expect an unforgettable lineup of performers and exhibits, including multiple P-51 Mustangs roaring through the sky, breathtaking parachute demonstrations by the Para-Commandos, and the high-speed spectacle and crowd favorite of the Smoke N Thunder Jet Car.
“The Port of Bremerton bringing back the air show for its fourth consecutive year is very exciting,” says Port CEO Jim Rothlin. “The crowds grow bigger each year, and we are happy to see the interest our community has in enjoying the spectacular show in the air as well as the vendors on the ground.”
One of the most anticipated highlights of this year’s event is the arrival of the F-86 Sabre Jet, sponsored by the Port of Bremerton. Built by North American Aviation, the F-86 was the United States’ first swept-wing fighter and gained legendary status during the Korean War. Of the more than 9,000 F-86 aircraft produced, only a handful remain airworthy, making this a rare opportunity to see history in motion. This appearance also marks the first time in over 15 years that an F-86 will take flight in Washington skies.
Further highlights include the participation of the Soaring by the Sea Foundation, which will showcase their PBY Catalina and A-1 Skyraider as static displays, while also flying the UH-1 Huey and the legendary P-40 Kittyhawk, still complete with working .50 caliber machine guns. The P-40 Kittyhawk will be joined by a second P-40 from the Erickson Aircraft Collection, who will also be bringing their F4U Corsair and introducing the F6F Hellcat in its first ever appearance at the Bremerton Air Show.
“We strive to bring excitement to the event each year with a mix of aerobatic performers, historic military aircraft, and other acts that promise to appeal to everyone,” remarks Bremerton Air Show CEO Doug Fratoni. “We are encouraged by the increasing support of the community through patrons, vendors, and volunteers, as well as County and City Governments. We could not be successful without them, thank you.”
This show captivates audiences with rare and historic aircraft both in the air and on the ground. Beyond aerial performances, the Bremerton Air Show offers a full day of entertainment where guests can explore a variety of interactive displays, including a car show, a Top Gun-inspired F/A-18 cockpit experience, an M-4 flight simulator, and a PureFlight Cabri G2 helicopter experience, among others. With a multitude of vendors on site, attendees can enjoy a wide range of local food options and other activities while taking in the action.
The Bremerton Air Show is proudly hosted by the Port of Bremerton at the Bremerton National Airport, whose mission is to drive economic development and improve local quality of life. The event is also made possible through the support of Kitsap County and the City of Bremerton, along with numerous community partners.
“The Bremerton Air Show is an event that we are proud to host as it provides an opportunity for local vendors to reach a large audience and brings a captivating, large-scale event to the people in and around Kitsap County,” says Port Commission President Cary Bozeman. “We hope to see everyone supporting and enjoying this show alongside us and look forward to welcoming the roughly 10,000 people expected to attend.”
We encourage everyone to save the date and experience history in motion, an unforgettable way to celebrate America’s 250th birthday through the sights and sounds of the aircraft that helped shape our nation’s history.
