South Carolina Aviation Week 2025 Calendar Now Live

South Carolina Aviation Association (SCAA) and SC Aeronautics Commission (SCAC) announced that the South Carolina Aviation Week 2025 calendar is now live! Scheduled for April 27–May 3, this annual, week-long celebration showcases the vibrancy and value of airports across the state.

Held under the theme “Connections & Commerce,” South Carolina Aviation Week highlights how the aviation industry drives both economic growth and educational opportunities statewide. Events throughout the week will spotlight the vital role of airports and aviation partners in shaping the future of our communities.

Highlights include:

  • Airport project showcases at Pickens County Airport and Georgetown County Airport
  • Educational programming at Greenville Downtown Airport, Spartanburg Downtown Memorial Airport and the SC Competes Spring Summit
  • Community-focused events at Florence Regional Airport, GSP, Marion County Airport and Aiken Regional Airport

Kim Stevens

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
