The “AERO Oklahoma” Aviation & Aerospace Awareness Day at the State Capitol is set for Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 9:30 am – 2:00 pm. The purpose of Aviation & Aerospace Day is to recognize Oklahoma’s aviation and aerospace industry as a vital economic engine for our state.
Due to an overwhelming response, booth registration is now closed. Sandra Shelton, Public Information & Government Affairs Liaison for the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission said they are honored to have more than 70 exhibitors registered for this exciting advocacy day, career fair, and military appreciation assembly day.
Many of the state’s top aerospace entities will be participating and will have exhibit booths set up around the fourth and second floor rotundas to promote their organizations and to show what impact they and the rest of the state’s aerospace industry have on Oklahoma’s economy.
The event is a unique opportunity for industry officials to come together in one unified voice and meet with state legislators and other elected officials to remind them of Oklahoma’s strong aviation heritage and show them firsthand how the industry continues to solidify our state as a worldwide leader in aviation, aerospace, and aerospace and defense.
Aviation and Aerospace industry officials and workforce, military, pilots, aircraft owners, educators, students, and more should make plans to attend. The event is free but attendees are asked to register so they may assist with event updates and up-to-the-minute information. Register here: AERO
An agenda for the day will come out about a week before the event but will only be emailed to registered guests. Check in will be on the first floor and will begin at 7:30 am. The main event will occur on the fourth floor rotunda beginning at 9:30 am. Speakers will begin around 10:00 am and lunch will be served to regular ticket holders at 11:30 am.
