North Dakota’s eight commercial service airports posted a total of 88,152 airline passenger boardings during the recent month of February. This is a 9% increase from the 80,552 boardings that the state experienced in the same month in 2022.
“Air service activity levels throughout North Dakota remains very healthy as spring break travel is in full swing,” stated Kyle Wanner, Executive Director for the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission. “Recently, this has also translated into near full parking lots at some of our commercial service airports throughout the state.”
As we continue to move through March, it’s important to note that historically, this month one of the busiest times of the year for air travel in North Dakota as residents go about their spring break plans. Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive at their airport early to ensure that that they can find parking, drop off bags as needed, and successfully make it through the security line.
