June has already delivered new opportunities for travelers at Raleigh-Durham International (RDU), including a new airline and two new international flights.

Air Canada introduced new nonstop service from RDU to Vancouver (YVR) June 5, offering nonstop service between the Triangle and the Western Canada for the first time.
The flight is expected to find popularity among travelers who want to visit British Columbia or connect onward to Japan, Korea and other East Asian destinations.
RDU added another new international destination and a new airline on June 9, when WestJet began nonstop service to Calgary (YYC). WestJet’s service to Calgary offers travelers convenient access to the Banff and the Canadian Rocky Mountains, as well as connectivity to WestJet’s network of international destinations.

WestJet’s introductory service brings the number of airlines at RDU to an airport record of 19. WestJet is the seventh airline to add new international service at RDU in the last year, following the launches of:
- Air Canada to Vancouver (YVR)
- Lufthansa to Frankfurt (FRA)
- Copa Airlines to Panama City (PTY)
- Aeromexico to Mexico City (MEX)
- Avelo Airlines to Montego Bay (MBJ) and Punta Cana (PUJ)
