Coastal Carolina Regional Airport Wins National Award for Website Redesign

Coastal Carolina Regional Airport’s website, www.flyewn.com, has been selected as a 2021 Gold Award Winner in the category of Best Transportation Website Design by w3’s Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts judging committee.

“The new site represents one of EWN’s many successful technological initiatives. It’s designed to engage both outbound and inbound travelers and it delivers a user-friendly experience with high impact visual appeal and efficient quick-response tools for site visitors,” said Airport Director, Andy Shorter. Coastal Carolina Regional Airport serves as the gateway to the Crystal Coast, the Outer Banks, and historic New Bern, and a convenient way to get to a wide world of fantastic destinations. “The new site is a fantastic asset that expertly reflects our vision, and it is producing skyrocketing site traffic since its launch in April.”

EWN engaged LHWH Advertising & PR to develop strategy and provide the design for the site, as well as spearhead content intake and development, quality control, and partner relations.

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
