Steven Baldwin Associates (SBA) has announced the hiring of Douglas Hamlin, a technology company executive and senior business consultant, as its newest Associate.

According to a recent release, Hamlin is an entrepreneur and advocate of diversity in the workplace. Previously, Hamlin served as President and CEO of VersaTrans, a transportation technology company that served school districts throughout North America. Hamlin grew the company to be best in its class, and then led the transition of its integration into Tyler Technologies, a national public sector software leader, which acquired the 80-person firm. As President of Tyler’s new Versatrans division, he was responsible for strategic planning, expanding existing technology, developing new technology, and working with senior Tyler management.
Baldwin reports that as an executive leader, Hamlin prioritizes understanding the needs of clients and translating them into effective business solutions. He also champions developing corporate strategy and aligning the organization to execute that strategy. He is a frequent speaker and presenter on the value of leveraging technology to drive efficiency throughout an organization.
Active in many community and industry organizations, Hamlin currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Albany, New York Medical Center. Previously, he served as Co-chair of the Board of the Schools Interoperability Framework Association.
Hamlin holds a Masters degree in Regional Planning from the University at Albany in Albany, New York, where he also earned a Bachelor of Arts in geography.
