Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI), has announced that Jake Gerstein has been named chief information officer. Gerstein brings to the company more than two decades of experience across the financial, communications and professional services sectors. At JSSI, he will be responsible for leading the company’s technology initiatives and objective of bringing enhanced data and insight to support JSSI clients and operations.
“Jake is a world-class technology and data expert. He’ll play a key leadership role as JSSI continues to experience significant growth across multiple lines of business,” said Neil W. Previously, Gerstein played a leading role at West Monroe Partners where he developed and implemented an innovative IT strategy, including application architecture and IT service delivery. His 20-year career includes roles with Computershare, UBS and Perot Systems.
JSSI manages over 8,000 maintenance events each year and covers almost every make and model of business and regional jet, turboprop and helicopter. As such, the company has a unique perspective into the actual costs associated with operating and maintaining aircraft and can offer a cross-section of services to aircraft owners, operators and financiers seeking guidance on asset management, valuations or ongoing aircraft ownership consultation.
