Lee County Port Authority Welcomes New Finance Director

Dave Amdor

Dave Amdor, CPA, has joined the Lee County Port Authority (LCPA) as the director of finance. He will be responsible for all financial aspects for LCPA, including overseeing the financial, accounting, budgetary and purchasing functions, as well as managing the Capital Improvement Program for Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field in Fort Myers, Fla.

Amdor comes to the Port Authority with more than 12 years of public and private accounting and finance experience. Most recently, he worked as the finance manager for the Omaha Airport Authority, responsible for operating Eppley Field (OMA) in Nebraska. Before that role, Amdor was the controller and assistant controller at OMA since in 2011. He started his career as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche, L.L.P. in Omaha.

Amdor is a Certified Public Accountant with a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL.

Kim Stevens

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
