RTCA, Inc. and the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) have announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate in promoting the value and power of digital standards to support information integration and interoperability solutions in the aviation ecosystem. The MOU establishes an agreement to work jointly in the development of standards and solutions being advanced by both organizations to their membership.
“I am pleased to partner with RTCA in this MOU to further our commitment for using location to connect people, communities, technologies and decision making in the aviation world” said Nadine Alameh, OGC’s Chief Executive Officer. “This cooperative agreement will add to our suite of alliance partners working together towards common global interoperability and partnership objectives.”
“This strategic partnership with OGC is consistent with our mission to create and implement integrated performance standards to meet the global aviation environment”, added Terry McVenes, President and CEO of RTCA. “This will strengthen our standards that will make them supportive of international harmonization and global interoperability.”
