NEW MEMORIAL PROJECTS AT COLORADO’S SPIRIT OF FLIGHT CENTER

Thanks to their supporters, the Spirit of Flight Center museum collection has risen to new levels. The Spirit of Flight Center in Erie, Colorado  has recently added a Douglas A-4 Skyhawk fighter jet, a tribute to Astronaut Scott Carpenter and have completed the mobile air museum which has been featured at several events this last year.

Over 25,000 visitors from around the world have enjoyed the collection and they have been educated on aviation history and how it has changed the world.  Many have been veterans of our great country. Most recently a veteran from Idaho flew to Colorado in a WWII C-45 to see the museum and said “The Spirit of Flight Center is an amazing museum, covering what other museums don’t”.

The museum seeks to honor the nation’s great veterans and aviation pioneers in 2013 and have several memorials that they would like to complete at the museum. For information on how you can help visit Project Take Flight at http://www.warbirdrecovery.com/proddetail.php?prod=SOF-DNTE
