Chris Pomeroy has joined Jviation, Inc. as a Senior Planner/Project Manager in their Denver, Colorado office. Jviation is an aviation-focused planning, engineering and construction management firm.

Pomeroy, (Shown at right) a former state aviation official, brings more than 17 years of agency and consulting experience in airport planning and management working on both small and large-scale planning studies, including airport master plans and layout plans, compatible land use plans and aviation system plans.
Prior to joining Jviation, Pomeroy served as project manager with the Washington State Department of Transportation – Aviation Division working in partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Seattle Airports District Office (ADO) and the states of Idaho and Oregon Aeronautics agencies developing a Statewide Capital Improvement Program. His past experience also includes roles as project manager/airport planner and partner with a regional multi-disciplined civil engineering firm based in Boise, Idaho; aviation planner/senior aviation planner with the Colorado Division of Aeronautics; and community planner with the FAA Denver ADO (interim, part-time). Pomeroy also worked in Airport Operations at Centennial Airport in Colorado.

His broad airport planning experience as a consultant, state and federal agency employee, airport employee and private pilot allows him to develop planning solutions that best address an airport’s needs and the community it serves. Pomeroy’s responsibilities will include managing and supporting Jviation’s planning initiatives in the FAA Northwest Mountain Region and Central Region.
Pomeroy is the third former state aviation official to join Jviation in the last several years. Travis Vallin, former Colorado Aeronautics Director and Joe Pestka with the State of Missouri Aviation Section also left state aviation posts.
