Katie Jones joins Sixel as Marketing and Community Outreach Consultant

Katie Jones_headshot 6-12edit.jpgSixel Consulting Group, an air service development and airport marketing firm, has hired Katie Jones to provide marketing and community outreach services to the company’s West Coast clients. Jones comes to Sixel Consulting Group from San Diego International Airport, where she served as the Airport’s spokesperson and social media editor. She recently led outreach efforts for the airport’s billion-dollar Green Build expansion project.

Her public outreach campaigns have been recognized in both the aviation and public relations fields, garnering awards such as the 2012 ACI-NA Marketing and Communications Award – Public Relations Campaigns; a 2012 Gold SABRE Award – Government Agencies; and a 2011 Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America. Under her leadership, Forbes.com named San Diego International Airport one of the top 10 airports on Twitter, and in 2012 Katie was named one of Airport Business Magazine’s “Top 40 under 40.”
