Before these adverse times hit our world economies and daily lives, one of I Hart Flying Foundation’s largest partners, Go Rentals, elevated their partnership which established the organization’s first themed scholarship opportunity for 2020: “Go Fuel Your Passion.” With today being #GivingTuesdayNow, a global effort focused on sharing gratitude, giving back, showing kindness, volunteering and responding to need, there is no greater time to launch more than $10,000 in flight training scholarships for women.
“This is about sharing good will, rising together and furthering our mission to assist women of all ages in achieving their aviation goals through the awarding of flight training scholarships,” shares Rachelle Spector, founder and president of I Hart Flying Foundation (IHFF).
In February, the organization’s veteran partner, Sheltair Aviation, stepped forward to turn “Go Fuel Your Passion” into a dual-scholarship opportunity, as a way to show their support of both a fellow business aviation company, Go Rentals, and continue addressing the shortage of female pilots with I Hart Flying.
“We are stronger together. When industry invests in industry, we witness positive results,” states Kaye Gitibin, CEO of Go Rentals. “We are not shy responding to industry needs and addressing with those, like I Hart Flying and Sheltair Aviation, to safeguard a future pipeline of talent.”
Originally, I Hart Flying planned to launch this opportunity short of the annual Sun ‘n’ Fun Aerospace Expo and Airshow. As the global pandemic forced aviation shows to cancel, the organization decided it was a perfect opportunity to revise the timeline and launch commemorating #GivingTuesdayNow, whose campaign goals align with I Hart Flying’s global platform.
“We already respond, volunteer, show gratitude, serve others and spread kindness and generosity. GivingTuesdayNow created the perfect launchpad for ‘Go Fuel Your Passion’ to liftoff!” Spector adds.
Today, through the generosity of Go Rentals and Sheltair Aviation, I Hart Flying launches more than $10,000 in flight training scholarships for women. In addition, each recipient will receive a brand new Bose A20 headset, a special King Schools’ flight training bundle and pilot supplies, not to mention, aviation themed goodies from each of their other partners: Base Turn, Dassault Falcon Jet, Titan Aviation Fuels, Meridian Jet Center, Boeing Business Jets, Flightdocs and Phillips 66.
Candidates must follow the application requirements posted on the website, ihartflying.org, follow and engage with @ihartflying on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
