LPC Construction Awarded TSA Office Expansion Project at Yuma, AZ

Yuma International Airport awarded a construction contract in the amount of $179,423 to local contractor, LPC Construction, Inc. to perform tenant improvements for TSA’s existing office space within the Yuma International Airport. The project is funded by the U.S. General Services Administration.

The project was designed by Yuma architectural firm, Architecture West and includes expansion of TSA’s existing office space located adjacent to the airline ticket counter, replacement of the office storefront and necessary upgrades to the HVAC, telecommunications, plumbing, electrical, fire protection and hardware. LPC Construction began demolition on September 28, 2016 and expects to complete the project within 60 days.

“The airport is pleased to work with the LPC Construction team on this expansion project which allows TSA personnel to make better use of space within their lease agreement and the improvements will be beneficial to their operations far into the future,” said Gladys Wiggins, Airport Director. She continued, “The west end of the airport’s terminal is currently closed to the public allowing contractors to move equipment and materials in a safe manner during the construction process. There are signs in place for those coming to the terminal.”

LPC Construction’s owner, Drew Pilkington shared “Our company appreciates being selected to complete yet another project at Yuma International Airport. The use of local contractors and sub-contractors adds to the community’s economy gives the customer peace of mind that if there’s a problem we can take care of it right away.
