AzAA Recognizes Coffman’s Matt Quick with Award of Excellence

The Arizona Airports Association presented Matt Quick with the Corporate Member of the Year Award at its annual spring conference held in Pinetop-Lakeside at the end of April. Quick, who currently serves as Vice President and Principal with Coffman Associates, has made lasting positive impacts on airports in Arizona and within the organization.

Matt Quick

Quick has over 20 years of experience in airports and aviation, beginning as a pilot and an airport manager for a general aviation airport. During his tenure at Coffman Associates, he has spent 18+ years as an airport planner/project manager, until transitioning to Principal and Vice President in recent years. During this time, he has personally provided planning and industry expertise to over 20+ airports in the state of Arizona. He has served as his firm’s Corporate Member representative since 2019, in which he has provided steady leadership to the corporate membership, as well as to the organization as a whole.

Coffman Associates is a specialized aviation planning and environmental firm headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona and Kansas City, Kansas.

Kim Stevens

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
