Guardian Flight Inc. has appointed Jared Sherman as Alaska Executive Director. As a member of Guardian Flight’s Executive Management Team, he reports to Fred Buttrell, Guardian Flight President and President and CEO of Air Medical Group Holdings (AMGH), which is Guardian’s parent company.
“Jared is charged with maximizing medical care and service availability throughout Guardian Flight Alaska’s operation in order to provide the best medical transportation with servant care throughout the state,” Buttrell said. “He will have leadership responsibilities overseeing Guardian Flight’s six bases and the largest air medical fleet in Alaska.”
Sherman has extensive air medical management experience in Alaska. Over the past seven years, he held senior leadership positions at another operation in the state. Prior to that he served as a health and safety executive. Sherman holds a Business Administration degree from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business. Sherman is a member of the Board of Regents of the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) Medical Transport Leadership Institute.
Guardian Flight Alaska is replacing its jet fleet of smaller Learjets and Beechjets with five Learjet 45s. In addition, the company operates a fleet of 10 Beechcraft King Air B200s and a Cessna Caravan.
