State of Alabama Uses Caravan for Enviornmental Mission

John Eagerton, Chief of the Alabama Department of Transportation’s Aeronautics Bureau, brought to our attention a recent article in Twin & Turbine magazine’s June issue about the state of Alabama’s use of a Cessna Caravan in its environmental monitoring and enforcement program of the Alabama Department of Environmental Management. "I think it is a good example of how states can efficiently and effectively incorporate the use of general aviation aircraft into a vital state function that is not directly related to people moving," said Eagerton.

The article, titled "Defending the Environment from the Air," says that for the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, aviation is key to keeping a watcful eye for enviornmental problems.
