The Montgomery Airport Authority has taken steps to further strengthen relationships with a key segment of its business. The board has executed new, five-year agreements with the rental car companies leasing spaces on the airport property.
In this latest move toward achievement of strategic goals, airport leaders have negotiated competitive terms with rental partners to offer more dedicated spaces for rental car parking. Rental companies will provide additional vehicles, upgraded rental class options, more selections of brands and models for travelers, as well as an increase in non-aeronautical revenue to the airport.
The airport unveiled enhancements to the rental car area in November 2020, after the board approved $85,000 to add branding, graphic and wayfinding signage, and illuminated, solar-powered markers.
Executive Airport Director Marshall J. Taggart, Jr. noted, “An airport is only as strong as its relationships with its concessionaires. MGM’s rental car companies are important partners in delivering exceptional service, with the variety and affordable pricing that our passengers and local customers expect. We have enjoyed our longstanding engagement with these global rental giants, and with these new agreements, customers can continue to count on the brands they know, trust and love.”
Current rental car concessionaires will remain on-site at MGM through 2026. This includes: Enterprise brands: Enterprise, Alamo, and National; Hertz brands: Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty; and Avis brands: Avis and Budget.
