Alabama Lt. Gov.-Elect Will Ainsworth Named Vice Chair of Aerospace States Association

Will_AinsworthAerospace States Association (ASA) Chair, Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, has appointed Alabama Lt. Gov.-Elect Will Ainsworth as vice chair of the ASA. “I am excited to have Lt. Governor. Ainsworth join our leadership team. I look forward to his stewardship in advancing aerospace within our states and around the nation,” said Kleefisch.

“I am honored to take on this new leadership role, said Ainsworth. “This coming year marks a major historical anniversary for aerospace in our state, in our country, and for the entire world, the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission. To celebrate, ASA will host, in conjunction with the Apollo 50th Anniversary events in Huntsville, Alabama, the Aerospace States Association’s First Annual Meeting and Policy Assembly this coming July 16-19, 2019.”

Ainsworth concluded: “As an Alabamian, the home state for both the Saturn V rocket that flew America to the moon, as well as NASA’s Space Launch System being constructed to take us to Mars and beyond, I am extremely proud of our state’s leadership in space exploration and hosting this first-ever event.”

Ainsworth follows in the footsteps of Alabama Governor Kay Ivey, who previously served as chair of the Aerospace States Association during her tenure as Lt. Gov. The Aerospace States Association creates impactful partnerships among state government, education, industry, and associations in the greater aerospace and aviation community.
