SAJ to Publish NASAO Conference Edition

For the second year in a row, the State Aviation Journal will publish a special edition covering the NASAO 79th Annual Convention and Trade Show which was held in Wichita, Kansas last week.

The special edition, which is intentionally heavy on photos, is dedicated to the men and women that represent state aviation across the country. "We hope the photos capture the fun and lighter side of the conference," said Kim Stevens, Publisher. "These folks work hard year-round." "The conference is not only an opportunity to conduct important business, it’s also an opportunity to enjoy the relationships developed over the years," said Stevens.

The publication is expected to be on the web October 1st.

Kim Stevens is the publisher of State Aviation Journal, which he founded in 2009. A longtime commercial-rated pilot, he was introduced to state aviation in 1992 as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Arizona Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of Communications and Operations for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) in Washington, D.C. Relocating to North Carolina, Kim worked for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for two years and now concentrates solely on the Journal. Prior to his aviation career, Kim spent a decade in the newspaper and magazine business.
