North Dakota to Recieve $3.2 Million for Airport Projects

Senators John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp along with Congressman Kevin Cramer have announced that two North Dakota airports have been awarded more than $3.2 million for airport construction and maintenance projects.

“We’re working to ensure that communities across North Dakota have safe and reliable roads, highways and airports to meet our growing needs,” said the delegation in a joint statement. “These grants will help to improve and expand our airports."

The following grants were awarded through the Federal Aviation Administration: Crosby Municipal Airport will receive $641,152 for runway lighting and guidance systems and to rehabilitate the apron pavement and runways. Hector International Airport will receive $2,581,587 to construct taxiways and to expand the apron to provide additional aircraft parking.

The grants were awarded by the U.S Department of Transportation with funds appropriated by Congress.
