North Dakota Aeronautics Commission Names New Director

wanneredit.jpg The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission announced last week, the hiring of Kyle Wanner as its new Director. Wanner has been with the agency since 2011 and spent the previous 4 months serving in the role of Acting Director. Originally from Mandan, North Dakota, he is a graduate from the University of North Dakota Aviation program receiving a bachelors in Business Administration.

North Dakota Aeronautics Commission Chairman, Jay B. Lindquist, said that Wanner’s ability to adapt into the director position as interim, leaves him confident Wanner will make a good full time director. Lindquist said the commission needs a director knowledgeable in aviation who can manage people and knows the needs of the state and they have that in Wanner.

Wanner said it’s his goal to insure North Dakota’s aviation infrastructure challenges are met and is looking forward to providing solutions for the many challenges that lie ahead for the North Dakota aviation community. “We are at a critical stage in the development of much needed aviation infrastructure throughout the state and are working to continue the integration of Unmanned Aircraft Systems into the National Airspace System.”
