Shell Aviation Redesigns Lubricants Packaging to Meet Customer Needs

shell pack.jpg Shell Aviation is putting its customers’ needs first. It recently revealed its new product packaging for piston engine oils at the annual Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh.

”The reason for the change of the packaging is simple – we’ve listened to customers and they told us that they wanted our products to stand out and be easy to identify,” said Amjad Shahabuddin, Global Marketing Manager, Shell Aviation Lubricants.” I believe we have really delivered on that while keeping the product names and formulations the same. “

The AeroShell lubricants portfolio’s new look, created in response to customer feedback across the world, introduces the label with a bold circular design, vivid Shell red packaging, clear display of product names on labels and each product family given its own color to easily identify the contents while standardizing its packaging sizes, explained Shahabuddin.

The transition will happen globally. New packaging of the piston engine oils started earlier this year and the introduction of the new packaging for turbine engine oils, greases and fluids will occur in the second half of 2014 and into 2015.

Shahabuddin added, “It’s fantastic that we were able to introduce our refreshed packaging for piston engine oils at Air Venture Oshkosh. This way, we could share our enthusiasm with visitors and see their reactions. So far, the design has been well received.”

More details about the packaging refresh initiative are available on our AeroShell website.
