PIPER NAMES SIM AVIATION AS RUSSIAN DEALER FOR NEW AIRCRAFT SALES

Piper Aircraft Inc. has named Sim Aviation, based in Russia’s Krasnodar region as the company’s new aircraft dealer for all of Russia. The announcement was made here at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) where Piper and its dealers are meeting with the European business aviation community.

“Sim Aviation sales professionals are on the front line of an immense emerging new market for Piper airplanes in the largest country in the world,” said Piper Executive Vice President Randy Groom, who is in Geneva representing the company at EBACE. “The addition of Sim Aviation to Piper’s worldwide new aircraft sales network is yet another important step in our plan to expand globally utilizing the best talent in every significant region of the world.”

“Sim Aviation will establish service and sales centers in Krasnodar, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg,” said Sim Aviation head Simon Mnoyan. “Our company understands all aspects of the Russian market for business and general aviation and we spare no effort in promoting the culture of personal aircraft throughout Russia.” Sim Aviation already has two single-engine Piper Meridian turboprops and two Piper Altaire business jets on order intended for Russian customers.
